She mentioned that I signed a 3 year contract and that if I were to cancel since it wasn't working I'd owe $500+. To my dismay, I re-looked at the contract because I did not recall signing a 3 year contract and I noticed my Dad had signed it, not myself. I did give him permission to allow Ackerman to enter my home to set up the system and provide my payment information but under no terms did I give him permission to sign a 3 year contract. With that being said, Ackerman finally sent a tech out free versus the $80 charge. It was fixed and now it doesn't work after a month. I have contacted to cancel without penalty or additional charge and no one has returned my emails. I had to finally block the payments from coming out of my bank account because you couldn't cancel the auto pay online. I've never experienced anything like this thus far as a home owner of 5+ years.
